Starsky rules the roost in East Queanbeyan,
The cock of the walk, the governor’s right hand,
Though Starsky is a lady chook you have to understand,

When danger comes a-calling and the creatures cower in fear,
The other creatures run into the bush and disappear,
The dogs discover bravery isn’t their career,

Well Mrs Brown came into town looking for some kill.
The father of the mice was making out his will.
The undertaker’s wondering where to send the bill,
But Starsky held her snake eyes, her gaze so strong and still.

Well Mrs Brown struck first. We feared a fatal end,
But her blow struck off the feathers, she had no more to spend.
Then Starsky’s beak flashed out, her family to defend,
And Mrs Brown went underground, thanks to our fearless friend.

Her aspect so frightening!
With a beak of thunder,

Now Ellie is the dog next door, she’s beautiful and blonde.
She thought she’d chase the chickens to see how they’d respond.
But Starsky knew she had to teach that puppy right from wrong.
A rush of fur and feathers, that girl will stray no longer.

So whenever I feel lonely, or people seem unkind,
I think upon those glory days I thought they’d never end.
The courage of that chicken is a beacon from the past,
Her light still blazes brightly, I still remember Starsky!
